Ayatollah Khamenei Lauds Iranian Wrestler for His Sacrifice
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei lauded the “sacrifice and sportsmanship” of Alireza Karimi, an Iranian wrestler who intentionally lost his match during the U23 World Championships in Poland to avoid facing an Israeli contender.
In a meeting with Karimi and his family on Sunday, the Leader presented his ring to the wrestler as a gift.
