Living in Rocks

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Kandovan is one of the three rocky villages in the world and one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in Iran’s northwestern province of East Azarbaijan. The village, dating back to 7,000 years ago, is located in Osku County. It is mainly famous for its manmade cliff dwellings which are still inhabited. The troglodyte homes have been excavated inside volcanic rocks and tuffs.
