Ahl-ul-Bayt World Assembly Chief Meets with Venezuela’s President in Caracas

IQNA – Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, the secretary general of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, met with Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro during a visit to the Latin American country.

At the meeting, Maduro described the relations between his country and Iran as brotherly, age-old and deep and said they are based on values and principles. 

He added that the friendship between the two countries is not political or temporary but real and strategic and based on the bond between the two nations.

He also referred to his meetings with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and said Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has a deep and precise analysis of the world and its developments.

He asked Ayatollah Ramezani to convey his greetings to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Maduro slammed Zionists who control the US government and have threatened world peace.

Ayatollah Ramezani, for his part, praised the deep and strategic ties between Tehran and Caracas.

He also elaborated on the importance of justice, saying justice, rationality and spirituality, form three pillars of the Shia thought that originates in the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

He noted that Shia Muslims believe that Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his glad advent) will reappear and uphold justice in the world, eliminating oppressors and those who do injustice.
