Like previous years, the convoy of Iranian Quranic figures and activists travel to different cities of the country to hold programs on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.

Ahmad Abolqassemi, who is in charge of the convoy, told IQNA that it has so far been to Saveh and Qazvin and is now on its way to southern provinces.

He added that Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, Zanjan, Kermanshah and Hamedan will be the next destinations of the Quran activists.

On the day of Bahman 22 (February 11), which marks the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory, the convoy will return to Tehran.

According to Abolqassemi, a number of organizations and institutions, including the Army, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Dar-ol-Quran Organization, IRIB, and Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization contributed to the activities of the convoy in previous years and will do so this year as well.

Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran (February 1 this year) marks the beginning of the Ten Day Fajr (Ten Days of Dawn), which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 42 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
