Ceremony Held in Lebanon to Honor Quran Teachers

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A number of Quran teachers in Lebanon’s Nabatieh were honored in a ceremony for their services to the Holy Book.

The ceremony was organized on Thursday by the “Irshad wa Tawjih” (guidance and counselling) Society.

It hailed the Quranic services of both male and female Quran teachers.

After recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a speech was delivered by Sheikh Muhammad Dhaoun, the director of the Nabatieh Dar-ol-Quran Center.

All the teachers attending the ceremony received gifts and certificates of honor at the event.

March 9 is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in Lebanon.  

Founded 35 years ago, the Tawjih and Irshad Society has 21 branches in different parts of Lebanon, including Beirut, Tyre, Baalbek, Hermel, and Nabatieh.
