Characteristics of Those Best in Inviting People to God
It is verse 33 of Surah Fussilat: “Who is better in saying than he who invites to Allah, does what is right, and says: ‘Surely, I am of those who surrender.’”
In this short verse of the Quran, God reveals a great secret, that is, whoever wants to be good at speaking and have a sweet speech should act like this:
First, he should invite people to God, not to himself like some of the preachers who misguide people.
Second, besides inviting to God, he should take a step toward doing good deeds which would be a sign of his honesty and sincerity.
Third, satisfaction from God and obedience towards God’s orders and respecting truth and justice should be evident in what he does.
Hypocrite preachers and those inviting people to God in different religions make use of psychological tricks; They change their voice and make the tone of their speech so proud as if they are talking from Heaven to people on the earth and advise people in a way as if they themselves do not need any advice at all.
It is possible that pharaoh-like pretenders may attract people for a short while, but it will not last long and they will gradually be disgraced.
