IQNA – A six-year-old Palestinian girl, who had been missing for two weeks after her family's car was shot at by Israeli forces, was found dead along with the bodies of her relatives and the medical workers who tried to save her.

Hind Rajab was last seen alive on January 29, when she and her cousin Layan Hamada, 15, were the only survivors of an Israeli attack on their car as they fled the besieged Gaza City.

The rest of their family, including Hind's uncle Bashaar Hamada, his wife and their three other children, were killed on the spot.

Layan was later shot dead while talking to a crew from the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), who had coordinated with the Israeli authorities to reach the area and rescue Hind.

The PRCS lost contact with its team after they arrived at the scene.

The bodies of Hind, Layan, and the PRCS staff were discovered by other relatives who went to look for them in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City.

“Hind and everyone else in the car is martyred,” the girl’s grandfather, Baha Hamada, told AFP news agency on Saturday.

Relatives earlier said the family’s vehicle came across Israeli tanks and were fired on as they tried to flee.

The incident has sparked outrage and calls for an investigation into the Israeli regime’s actions that led to the deaths of the civilians and the humanitarian workers.

The occupation regime waged its brutal war on besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out an unprecedented operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

So far, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 27,947 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 67,459 others.
