IQNA – The Qatari Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' General Department of Endowments has announced plans to distribute over 700,000 Iftar meals across 20 locations in the country throughout Ramadan 2024.

The 'Iftar Saim' campaign, unveiled at a press conference in Al Waab, aims to support fasting individuals daily, The Peninsula reported on Sunday.

Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, Director of the General Department of Endowments, highlighted that the initiative expects to serve over 24,000 people daily. The locations have been chosen based on population density and labor presence.

The campaign will see the establishment of Ramadan tents at 15 key locations, including Ain Khalid, Al Sailiya, and various areas within the Industrial Area, among others. Additionally, meal distribution will occur at five other sites, such as the Old Airport area and Umm Ghuwailina.
