Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Reza Shahsavani, head of Hazrat Zahra (SA) Quranic Institute, announced this, adding that the first phase of the Quranic center will be launched on December 31.

The first phase has been built in an area of 800 square meters and the complex will cover an overall area of 3,000 square meters after completion, he noted.

Hojat-ol-Islam Shahsavani added that it will be named after the popular commander.

The cleric noted that a Quran memorization competition is also scheduled to be organized in the city to mark the martyrdom anniversary of General Soleimani.

General Soleimani, who was the commander of the IRGC Quds Force, Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Deputy Commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3, 2020.

The White House and the Pentagon claimed responsibility for the assassinations, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of then US president Donald Trump.

Various programs are slated to be held across Iran and other resistance front countries to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of General Soleimani and his companions.
