Indian Hajj Pilgrims Attacked by Hindu Extremist: Report

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A bus carrying Hajj pilgrims in India was attacked by an extremist mob which resulted in the injury of several passengers, including women, according to Indian media reports.

 

Several Muslims including women were injured after Hindutva men attacked a bus carrying Hajj pilgrims in Kota, Rajasthan on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night when Hindutva extremists obstructed a bus carrying Hajj pilgrims on its way to the airport in Jaipur. In the attack, several Muslims including women sustained injuries.

The pilgrims were en route to the airport, their bus was halted and stoned by the mob who first stopped the bus and later attacked the pilgrims. Besides assaulting the passengers, they also caused damage to the bus.

In a video, the pilgrims, including women and children, can be heard saying, “The Hindu right-wing men barged inside the bus and upon finding that all those onboard were Muslims, they started assaulting them.”

The pilgrims said they were also forced to raise “Jai Shri Ram” slogans and said that they will abduct all the onboard young Muslim women.

Meanwhile, police have started investigating the assault and several accused have been arrested, the video shared by the victims claimed.
