Supplication for Safeguarding Faith

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Sometimes, after finding the path of guidance and salvation, people may lose the broad vision and divine insight and become inclined to falsehood.

Then, the following supplication that comes in Verses 8-9 of Surah Al Imran, would help them and serve as a cure:

“‘Lord, do not cause our hearts to swerve after You have guided us. Grant us Your Mercy. You are the Embracing Giver. Lord, You will surely gather all the people for a Day that will come in which there is no doubt.’ Allah will not break His promise.”

This prayer is a reminder for us to know that we have a Lord who has granted us the light of guidance and this will help us overcome worldly desires and temptations.

It would be god to repeat this prayer and ask Him to put us on the Straight Path of guidance so that we will be among those whom He has granted favors, because we have realized that there is no doubt about this Divine promise.
