TEHRAN (IQNA) – Can one accept that while God has created this world with so many complex and precise laws, some people do injustice to others and then everything will finish with their death?

Order in world

If there is no Resurrection, the creation of mankind and the world would be futile and that would run counter to the Hikma (wisdom) of God. This is a reason that there will be a Resurrection and a world in which people’s deeds will be judged and then rewarded or punished.

Imagine someone has thrown a party with detailed planning and prepared various kinds of delicious foods and drinks for the guests but instead of guests, wild animals come to the party and destroy everything. What would be the outcome of such a party?

If there is no Resurrection, God’s creation of this vast universe would be meaningless. “He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth.” (Surah Al-An’am, Verse 101)

He has created everything in the best manner. “It is He Who created everything in the best manner.” (Surah As-Sajdah, Verse 7)

He has created everything with exact planning and measuring. “And everything with Him has its measure.” (Surah Ar-Ra’ad, Verse 8)

He has created everything due to His mercy and compassion: “He has written for Himself mercy.” (Surah Al-An’am, Verse 12)

He has given human beings all kinds of favors: “It is He who created everything on earth for you.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 29) “And surely We have honored the children of Adam, and We carry them in the land and the sea, and We have given them of the good things.” (Surah Al-Isra, Verse 70)

He has adorned the sky with stars for them. “Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars.” (Surah As-Safat, Verse 6)

And He has tasked many for distribution of the favors: “Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command.” Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 4) “And by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected).” (Surah An-Nazi’at, Verse 5)

Is it possible that God, the Omniscient, has created so many things for people and some people do injustice to others and then everything will finish with their death? “Lord, You have not created these in vain.” (Surah Al Imran, Verse 191)

Has this world been created with so much order, subtlety, and precision only for a few years of life for mankind? Wouldn’t it be pointless then?

In the materialistic worldview, the future is bleak and life ends in a void. One who has such a worldview wonders why he has been created and with such a worldview he justifies doing whatever he can to enjoy life even if it means repressing and destroying others’ life.

The Quran, however, says:

“Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?” (Surah Muminun, Verse 115)

“Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim?” (Surah Al-Qiyama, Verse 36)

God has created humans for testing them and helping them to grow based on divine laws and they will return to God. “Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 156)

This world is a farm whose crops will be reaped in the hereafter. “… every soul will be duly recompensed for its deeds without being wronged.” (Surah Al-Jathiya, Verse 22) “Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds.” (Surah Al-Muddaththir, Verse 38)

Luqman told his son: “My son, God keeps the records of all the good and evil deeds, even if they are as small as a grain of mustard seed, hidden in a rock or in the heavens or the earth. God is subtle and All-aware.” (Surah Luqman, Verse 16)
