TEHRAN (IQNA) – One of the points necessary in proving the existence of life after death is proving that there is nothing that can prevent it.

Life after death

There are three conditions for proving the resurrection. One is its possibility and the other is the reason for its existence. Now we will discuss why there is no obstacle to it happening.

There is no obstacle to man’s returning to life after death. An obstacle exists for those with limiter power. When a car faces a large rock in the middle of the road, it cannot move any further. The big rock is an obstacle on its path but it is no obstacle for a bird who can fly.

The more power and knowledge one has, the few obstacles can hinder him on his path. In the case of bringing the dead back to life, there needs to be unlimited knowledge and unlimited power. And we know that God is Omniscient and Omnipotent.

God has the power and knows how to revive the dead. “We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records.” (Surah Qaaf, Verse 4)

So with the unlimited power of God, everything is possible. “To God belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth and He has power over all things.” (Surah Al-Imran, Verse 189)

Sometimes Satan tries to make us believe that it is something very difficult to do. But the Quran says in different verses (such as Verse 19 of Surah Al-Ankabut, Verse 44 of Surah Qaaf and Verse 7 of Surah Al-Taghabun) that it is easy for God to do. “Do they not see how Allah originates the Creation, and then brings it back? That is an easy matter for Allah.” (Surah Al-Ankabut, Verse 19)

The problem is that we assess God’s power and knowledge with our own limited view. Because we are limited, we can understand the unlimited. In various verses, the Quran tries to helps us develop the framework of our view and see beyond the ordinary realm that we are used to:

God gave Maryam a child while she had not been married. “She said, ‘How can I have a son when no mortal has touched me nor am I an unchaste woman’.” (Surah Maryam, Verse 20)

God made a baby (Jesus) talk in the cradle.

“He (the baby) said: 'I am the worshiper of Allah. Allah has given me the Book and made me a Prophet.’” (Surah Maryam, Verse 30)

God destroyed the army of the elephant with small birds.

“And He sent against them flights of birds, pelting them with stones of baked clay.” (Surah Al-Fil, Verses 3-4)

God says springs of water gushed from a rock when Moses (AS) struck it with his staff:  “(Remember) when Moses prayed for water for his nation, We said to him: ‘Strike the Rock with your staff.’ Thereupon twelve springs gushed from it, and each tribe knew their drinking place. ‘Eat and drink of that which Allah has provided and do not act evilly in the land, corrupting.’” (Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 60)

God says about Jesus (AS) “…by My permission, you fashioned from clay the likeness of a bird, and breathed into it so that, by My permission, it became a living bird. How, by My permission, you healed the blind man and the leper, and by My permission you brought the dead forth.” (Surah Al-Ma’idah, Verse 110)

God gave Zakariah and his wife (who were very old) a child named Yahya: “She said: O wonder! shall I bear a son when I am an extremely old woman and this my husband an extremely old man? Most surely this is a wonderful thing.” (Surah Hud, Verse 72)

God says Moses (AS) was raised in the home of pharaoh. “The Pharaoh's wife said, ‘He, (Moses), is the delight of our eyes. Do not kill him. Perhaps he will benefit us or we may adopt him.’ They were unaware of the future.” (Surah Al-Qasas, Verse 9)

And there are many more examples of how God’s power and knowledge are unlimited and whatever He wants will come to pass.
