Speaking to IQNA, Badriya al-Abduli said the order and coordination seen in organization of the competition can be an example for Muslim countries.

She also hailed the progress seen in holding the Quranic event every year, and said everything in terms of organization has been good.

As for the panel of arbiters, she said there is good coordination among all the experts serving in the panel and the scores given to the contenders are balanced.

She also commended the good level of participants in the women section.

Referring to the motto of the contest, namely “One Book, One Ummah”, she said the motto is a necessity for the Muslim world today at a time when there are onslaughts on Islam in different forms and the enemies are seeking to incite Fitna among Muslims.

In such conditions, Muslims should be united and independent from the East and the West, as the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA) said, the Quran expert stressed.

Elsewhere in her remarks, al-Abduli expressed hope that efforts will be made to attract more Muslim women to Quranic activities so that they can stand up to the West’s cultural onslaught and attempts at leading the youth astray.
